By Lorraine Corbeil, Member, National Parents Organization of Massachusetts

Roy and I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon at the Westford, Massachusetts Rotary Club’s Annual Pig ’n Pepper community event, the last weekend in August. As a Community Partner, we had a booth to promote the mission of National Parents Organization.

We organized games for the kids while speaking to the parents or accompanying adults concerning the issues of shared parenting. Almost all of the two-dozen families we spoke with had a story to share and support the work of National Parents Organization.

If we could only convince the general public of the difficulties that non-custodial parents face to see their children and get all these individuals to act by contacting their legislators, this would be a non-issue and could be solved in a short period of time.

Signing National Parents Organization up for this event and running the booth was another small way we are able to show our support of National Parent Organization and its goal to make shared parenting the norm in the United States.
